I am now torn between using an MDT ORYX, KRG Bravo or XLR Element 3.0 . I'm leaning toward the ORYX as it seems very close to the chassis on my Savage (which I really like!) I've also learned that a little bit plastic under your hands is a good thing come winter shooting in the NE US. In the end. the price of building vs buying will be a wash.Magpul will be the lightest, but least sturdy and feature rich. XRS vs Oryx is going to come down to whether you prefer the feel of a traditional stock or a pistol grip. Primarily target shooting and a bit of stationary hunting, the Oryx or XRS will serve you best. If you're hoping to stalk, the Magpul will probably be the better choice, albeit ...KRG is more expensive for the Howa and more stock like. I think it may be a little lighter. Oryx is cheaper, traditional chassis setup. I have heard some guys trying to add weight to their Bravos for balance and recoil improvement. Oryx is newer so haven't heard as much feedback yet. I personally plan on going with the Oryx for my next two builds.TMW99577. I have had both the Titan and the Magpul, and neither were the quality of the KRG Bravo my Kidd/Lilja 10/22 is currently in. Jul 31, 2021 · 1,083. I personally feel for all around use, the bravo is the way to go. I like the xray grip better as it gives more control when moving with the weapon. However the ergos of the buttstock/comb are definitely more tactical/prs oriented. If you already shoot with a chassis a lot, it may not feel much different. Both have accessories and such (ARCA rails, bag riders, adjustable buttpads, etc), with an edge to the Bravo (which makes sense, since KRG has been around for a LONG time comparatively). The KRG Bravo chassis looks promising in that it is simple, not that much heavier than a carbon fiber stock once the mini-chassis is installed, and the plastic sides should help mitigate the cold metal issue found in other chassis, plus it is muchcheaper. The MDT skeleton buttstock is more precise with its adjustments vs the KRG offerings. I prefer the temperature insensitive polymer of the KRG during the winter. I also don't …I had one in a MDT xrs. The weight distribution was very strange with a heavy stock and a carbon barrel. I never played with weighting it to balance. They have a slot on the MDT that works with the bottom bolt release. It's better than nothing, but not great for releasing the bolt.

The Oryx was first, and then the KRG Bravo- which the rifle still has. The Oryx is heavier, owing to the completely aluminum skeleton, and it feels more like a precision rifle chassis. The downside is that it's not very modular, and I don't get the sense that MDT is really interested in committing further resources into additional attachments ...Mini Stock Pad. $ 49.99.
